about me

diana ponce is a performing artist, director, producer and educator. A graduate of the Integrated Conservatory Program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, she ventured into the world of performing arts while in high school and since has participated in diverse productions.  NYC Credits: Emma (Lenny, World Premiere), Rowan (Angel, World Premiere), Rubamena Dance Company. International Credits: Beauty and the Beast (Babette), Spring Awakening (Wendla), Mean Girls (Janis), RENT (Joanne), Grease (Rizzo).  T.V./FILM: August (August, Festival run, award-winning short film).

diana is also a teaching artist and co-founder of the theater company, Telón de Agave, where she wishes to create opportunities for international artists and opportunities for social commentary. There she produces and directs material by Latinamerican playwrights in New York City Theaters.

A native to Mexicali, Mexico, she obtained a degree in clinical psychology and whilst pursuing her bachelors trained in disciplines such as Pole Dancing, Lyra, Acrochair and Flex. She has also participated in a plethora of workshops (with the likes of Boris Schoeman, Roberto Sosa, Luis Carlos Villareal, Gicela Sehedi, Mauricio Salas and Edvan Galvan) and master classes (Robeto Duarte, Analy, Anahi Allué and Marco Salazar). She is a native speaker of Spanish, a fluent English speaker and an intermediate Italian speaker.
